Greeting Dolphins Fans!
My name is Vernon Mummert, Director of Athletics at the College of Staten Island and today I am writing to encourage you to become a member of the College of Staten Island “Dolphin Club”. During these challenging economic times your support of CSI athletics is needed now more than ever.
On behalf of the College of Staten Island, CSI Athletics, and the Dolphin Club, I would like to personally thank you in advance for taking the time to consider supporting our student-athletes. Dolphin Club memberships allow you to gain community and corporate recognition through advertisements in our athletic venues and program media guides.
The College of Staten Island is building a winning NCAA DIII athletic tradition and you can be a part of it. CSI has now earned 72 conference championships. During the 2009-10 year, the men’s baseball team earned CUNYAC Postseason Championship honors and our men’s tennis team captured its second straight CUNYAC Regular Season Championship. Our men’s swim team went to the NCAA Division III National Championships, finishing 14th in the country. In 2009-10 our baseball and softball teams went on to ECAC postseason play. In 2009-10 we had over 60 CSI student-athletes earn CUNYAC scholar-athlete honors by achieving a 3.2 GPA or better. Our College of Staten Island NCAA DIII student-athletes make Staten Island proud!
The College of Staten Island has top-notch athletic and recreation facilities on a beautifully landscaped 204-acre gated campus. Our CSI athletic facilities were selected to host numerous CUNY championships in 2009-10 including tournaments in men’s and women’s soccer, baseball, and softball. CSI recreation facilities are available to the entire Staten Island community at very desirable rental and membership rates.
We are looking to enhance our athletics program and facilities with your Dolphin Club commitment. I would be happy to meet with you to discuss an array of sponsorship opportunities tailored to fit your advertising needs. My phone number is (718) 982-3149. We encourage you to consider making a financial contribution at the level of giving that best fits your personal budget. Your generous contribution to the sport of your choice will make a positive difference in each and every CSI student –athlete’s college experience.
Sincerely yours,
Vernon Mummert
